Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis: Still a Diagnostic Challenge

<b><i>Introduction:</i></b> Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EoG) is a rare condition with yet poorly understood pathophysiology. <b><i>Case Presentation:</i></b> We report on case of 36-year-old woman history atopy presenting nausea, abdominal discomfort, weight loss, and ascites. Laboratorial analysis revealed peripheral eosinophilia slight elevation inflammatory markers. The patient pursued medical assistance several times delay in the diagnosis. pathway to diagnosis EoG serosal infiltration further management presented. <b><i>Discussion:</i></b> Despite being diagnosed by exclusion, it important suspect subserosa involvement patients uncommon association ascites, particularly if there atopy.
